I remember a time when I felt like I was constantly running on empty. My to-do list was endless, my mind never quiet, and no matter how much I did, it never felt like enough. I’d wake up already feeling behind, my heart racing before I even got out of bed.
I told myself, just push through, but the exhaustion only deepened. I ignored the tension in my chest, the tightness in my breath, the nagging thought that something wasn’t right. Until one day, I hit a wall. Not physically, but mentally, emotionally. I found myself staring at my screen, unable to think, unable to move. The weight of it all pressed down so hard, I could barely breathe.
That’s when I knew—I couldn’t keep living like this.
In my search for relief, mindful deep breathing practices came to my rescue. When nothing else seemed to work, my breath became my anchor. It helped me connect to my calm space, pull myself out of the spiral of anxiety, and be present in the moment. With each inhale, I found clarity. With each exhale, I let go of the tension I had been carrying for so long.
